“We are delighted that Anwen will be joining us during an exciting time for the CRC team,” said CEO Dr Michael Robinson.

“The next twelve months will see the completion of our remaining research projects – delivering that research and ensuring its ongoing impact will be a major focus for Anwen.”

Plant Biosecurity CRC research is focused on reducing the impact of harmful plant pests and diseases that can impact on food safety, trade, market access, market development, and the profitability and sustainability of plant industries.

She is accustomed to roles that require strong stakeholder engagement and has held senior executive positions in a diverse range of sectors including education, agriculture, primary industries, rural and regional, and renewable energy.

Anwen has recently wrapped up as CEO of Food and Agribusiness Solutions (FAS) and is a Director of the Poultry Cooperative Research Centre.

Prior to leading FAS, Anwen was Executive Manager at the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation.

Anwen’s qualifications include an Executive Masters of Business Administration (University of Melbourne) and a Bachelor of Natural Resources Engineering (University of New England).

She is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
