The NSW Farmers Deniliquin Branch invites local food and fibre producers to a breakfast with NSW Farmers President Derek Schoen on Thursday 22 June 2017.
Mr Schoen, who has a family farm at Corowa, said he looking forward to catching up with local farmers over breakfast to discuss the future of agriculture.
“There is always plenty talk about in the farming community and plenty of topics when it comes to the work that NSW Farmers is undertaking to support local food and fibre production,” Mr Schoen said.
“I will be updating farmers on water management policy, biodiversity reforms, the fire and emergency services levy, and pest management.
“I am also keen to get feedback from Members on local issues affecting their farm business.”
NSW Farmers Regional Services Manager Simone Norrie said all farmers are invited to join the breakfast event.
“It’s a great opportunity to catch up with other local farmers at a social event and take the opportunity to meet Derek and the branches new officer bearers, Amanda Barlow and Carla Armytage.”
The breakfast is being held at the Crossing Café, starting at 7.30am.
